NEET 2020 Result Live Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the NEET-UG Result 2020 soon. Candidates who have taken the medical entrance exam will be able to check their results online at ntaneet.nic.in. Once the result is declared, merit list will be prepared on the basis of All India Rank obtained by the students.This year around 15.97 lakh candidates were registered for the NEET 2020, however, only 85-90% of them appeared in the exam that was held on September 13.Candidates who could not appear in the exam on September 13 due to Covid-19 pandemic, got another chance to appear in the phase two of NEET exam, which was held on October 14. NTA had released the provisional answer key of September 13 exam on September 26 after which the candidates were allowed to submit representations against any key. NTA will release the revised and final answer key on the official website.

NEET Result 2020: Education Minister wishes candidates ahead of results
The union education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank wished all the best to NEET candidates ahead of results. “DG NTA is announcing the results of #NEETUG 2020 today. I wish all the best to the candidates,” he tweeted.

NEET Result 2020: Tie- Breaking methods
In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks/percentile score in the NEET (UG) – 2020, the inter-se-merit shall be determined as follows:
a) Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test,followed by,
b) Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Chemistry in the Test, followed by,
c) Candidate with less proportion of number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the Test, followed by,
d) Candidate older in age.
NEET Result 2020 Merit List: Minimum required percentile for qualifying NEET
In order to be eligible for admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses for a particular academic year in case of General, General-EWS, a minimum of 50 percentile in NEET-UG is required. However, for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks shall be at 40th percentile.

NEET 2020 Counselling :15% of total seats fall under All India Quota
The Counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats and all seats of Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats of ESIC and AFMC including Delhi University (DU), BHU, AMU, AIIMS & JIPMER will be conducted by the MCC/DGHS for Undergraduate Medical Courses. The counselling for admission to the seats under the control of other States/Universities/Institutions shall be conducted as per the notifications issued separately by the authorities concerned.
NEET Result 2020: Seats in medical courses available under different quotas
Admissions to all seats of Undergraduate Medical Courses will be done through NEET (UG) – 2020.
The following are the seats available under different quotas:
i. All India Quota Seats
ii. State Government Quota Seats
iii. Central Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities
iv. State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental /Ayurveda /Siddha /Unani/Homeopathy Colleges or any Private University
v. Central Pool Quota Seats
vi. All seats including NRI Quota as well as Management Quota, in private unaided/aided minority / non- minority medical colleges shall also be filled on the basis of merit obtained in NEET(UG) – 2020.

After the NEET result is declared, the concerned authorities of all states will release their category-wise cutoffs for admission in to their state medical colleges. Candidates are advised to visit the official website of the concerned authorities of their states for NEET cutoffs.

Earlier this week, the education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had said that the NEET result will be declared soon to prevent any further delay in the new session. He had on October 12 announced that the NTA NEET result will be declared on October 16 at ntaneet.nic.in.
